I've noticed this too, and it makes for an interesting conversation with students. If you look at the drawings of the teacher she has gray hair in a bun, when the real Mrs. Henry was a beginning, young teacher. It's okay to use the story but good to point out the mistakes or see if students can find them themselves. You can compare to photos in the Ruby's autobiography.
