Wolf Brother Reviewed
The book Wolf Brother is the first of six books in the series Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, by author Michelle Paver. The story is about 12-year-old Torak, his wolf companion and their friend Renn. Torak fights evil to save his world, a world of prehistoric clans set in the wild more than 6,000 years ago. (That's after the Ice Age and before farming.)
Two "Fins Up" for Winter's Tail
Winter's Tail is a heartwarming true story about a young dolphin that had to learn to swim again after losing her tail. Winter, a baby Atlantic bottle-nose dolphin, was fitted with an artificial, or prosthetic, tail after her own was lost to a crab net.
The Last Reporter
The third book in a trilogy, Adam Canfield: The Last Reporter by Michael Winerip is an awesome book. It features middle school reporter Adam Canfield as a gladiator quiz bowler and jazz band member who is also co-editor of the school's newspaper, the SLASH.

Pocahontas Book Review
In fifth grade, my class studied a lot about Jamestown, a 17th century English settlement in what is now Virginia. We also studied a little about Pocahontas, a Native American girl who helped the colony in many ways. It was an amazing story, so when I got George Sullivan's book to review I was looking forward to reading more about the topic.
