Exploring Health Sciences
Our teacher advisors explore the link between health, science and education that schools can play. Their thematic units bring personal and environmental health issues to life using real-world examples based on their students, schools and communities.
An activity that introduces students to the food pyramid, food groups, and the relationship between nutrition and a healthy body
Students will learn how to care for the planet and investigate the effects of over-consumption and pollution of natural resources.
Students will research and assume roles as medical specialists through hands-on projects, research, reports, and presentations. Culminating activities include working with a health specialist to dissect or observe various specimens such as cow eyes, sheep brains, and pig lungs.
