About This Book

In the dramatic conclusion to a mystery that's built over the last four books, Eric, Julie and Neal discover the source of Keeah's power — and one of the great secrets of Droon.

The kids are called to Droon to investigate a strange, huge hurricane brewing off the coast of Mintar. Soon they discover that this storm is no natural phenomenon, but rather a disturbance whipped up by Demither, the mermaid witch who controls the elements with the Red Eye of Dawn. The kids need to travel to her underwater kingdom to ask her to stop the storm before it spins out of control.

When they get there, though, they discover they have a larger problem on their hands. The hurricane is simply a cry for help — because Demither knows that Lord Sparr, back on the scene after a mysterious disappearance, also seeks the Red Eye's power. It's up to the kids to stow the Red Eye in a safe place once and for all. And, in the meantime, it's up to Keeah to face the strange truth about her magic.

Tony Abbott
The author of three best-selling series for young readers, Tony Abbott didn't actually turn to writing full-time until 1994. Though he first came to attention with his Danger Guys series, begun in 1994, Tony Abbott has continued to gain recognition for The Secrets of Droon, an ongoing series that independent bookstores count in their top ten fantasy book recommendations for Harry Potter fans.
