About This Book
Stick Dog isn't called Stick Dog because he likes sticks. It's because that's the only kind of dog Tom Watson can draw. Tom is the first to admit he's a terrible artist. His art teacher seconds that opinion; she scrunches up her face every time she looks at his drawing pad.
His English teacher has some strong opinions too. Like that Tom doesn't know how to write. But that's okay. Tom thinks his teacher's rules of good writing are all barf-a-lucci, and he has no intention of following any of them.
So it looks like he isn't going to get very good grades for his Stick Dog stories. But that won't stop him from telling them, and from illustrating them horribly.
Besides, what's so bad about a suburban dog with lots of personality who lives inside a big, empty pipe beneath Highway 16? There's lots of drama in Stick Dog's life. Like finding the tastiest, most aromatic hamburger in the world.
So off he goes with his similar-looking stick-dog pals to search for one. What they find is action, excitement, and hilarity. Come along for the hunt in this uproarious romp, and laugh every paw-step of the way.
