About This Book

This sequel to Marisol and Magdalena continues to explore the life of a sweet Latina teenager growing up in Brooklyn.

Marisol and her best friend, Magda, will soon celebrate their 15th birthdays which are important celebrations to all Panamanians. Marisol worries that her family's poor financial situation will prevent her from having the celebration she yearns for. While Marisol is away in Panama, Magdalena becomes friends with two girls Marisol can't stand. Marisol wonders if Magdalena has changed and may no longer be her friend.
