The Princess Plot Booktalk

About This Book

Jenna has just won the starring role in a film about a princess — sweet! In the wink of an eye, she´s whisked off to a remote, romantic kingdom for the "shoot."

But something´s amiss: First, she finds out she bears an uncanny resemblance to the real princess, who has run away following the death of her father, the king. Then she learns that the conniving regent plans to use her to take control of the country, now being fought over by rebels.

As the plot twists and turns, Jenna discovers just what she´s made of — and just why she resembles the missing princess so much!

From The Princess Plot

"You're backing out?" Tobias said. "But it doesn't matter if you can't rememver your lines. Anybody can do that."

"Totally overrated," Raphael agreed, nodding.

"What matters is personality!" Tobias persisted. "It all comes down to presence. And you've got it, Jenna: real presence."

"We all said so the moment we saw you," Raphael added.

Mrs. Markas said nothing.

Jenna felt slightly dizzy. Movie producers thought she was more beautiful than Bea! Or at least that she had greater presence.

Presence, thought Jenna. It could be true. Mom always talked about presence when she gave her etiquette lessons to ugly old women. Maybe presence was the one thing that could make boring people interesting.
