Ten-year-old Andy Manotti is having a hard time adjusting to his new family. Andy's mother has died and his father has remarried, giving him a stepbrother named Jason, who receives all of the family's attention. Andy believes there is nothing he can do to change his situation, until he goes on a school trip to a museum and finds an interesting Egyptian mummy exhibition. The exhibition has a special hold on Andy, and when he returns to school, he draws a picture of a mummy, only to discover that is has the power to make his dreams come true. Andy must decide what is his true desire to send Jason to Mars, or to bring his mother back to life.
