About This Book

This little book is a tasty celebration of Thanksgiving by acclaimed children's poet Jack Prelutsky and favorite illustrator Marilyn Hafner.

As he has done in several other holiday offerings, as well as in his best-selling collections The New Kid on the Block, Something BIG Has Been Here, and A Pizza the Size of the Sun, Prelutsky captures kids' concerns in a bouncy verse that is sometimes whimsical, sometimes serious. Jack Prelutsky

Though Jack Prelutsky once believed poetry was the literary equivalent of liver ("I was told that it was good for me, but I wasn't convinced"), his verse has been turning children into poetry lovers for years.
