I Have a Dream: The Story of Martin Luther King Discussion Guide

About This Book

This biography is a wonderful account of the life of Martin Luther King Jr. Told in a strong narrative style, the book recounts Martin's life starting at age six, when he was told he could not play with a white friend. This biography then outlines the seeds of Martin's dreams, and how his dream for equality for all developed, how he fought for it, and eventually gave his life for it. In this biography, readers are able to connect not just with the political Martin, but with Martin as a person, and the author weaves King's own words with the words of those who knew him best.

Black-and-white photos are included further enhance the personal depiction of this great American hero. Intended for 9 to 12 year olds, this is a fabulous introduction to King's life and his legacy.
