Anna's neighbor's niece, Christine, is visiting. She loves ponies but hasn't had a chance to ride because her cerebral palsy makes riding a challenge. The Pony Pals convince Christine to try lessons. But when the time comes, Christine is too terrified to even get near a pony - except Anna's Acorn. Acorn goes out of his way to be gentle and friendly around Christine. Christine and Acorn quickly develop a special bond. Meanwhile, the Pony Pals get ready for a town carnival. Anna plans to paint faces, but Christine comes up with better drawings. And all the other Pony Pals love Christine's poster designs. Anna feels threatened. Do the Pony Pals think Christine is a better artist than Anna? And worst of all - could Anna's pony love Christine more than he loves Anna?
