About This Book
James Hoff likes to rant against America's consumerist culture. He also likes to rant against his ex-girlfriend, Sadie, who he feels isn't doing enough to change the world. But just like he can't avoid buying things, he also can't avoid Sadie for long. Thsi anti-consumerist love story is all about idealism, in James' relationship with the world and his relationships with the people around him.Sample Text
We stand at the edge. We stand at the brink. We have come to a final point in history. Greenhouse gases are heating our oceans, choking our atmosphere, changing our entire planet. Toxins and pollutants threaten not only our lives, but all life on earth. If action is not taken, all will be lost!
We can no longer chip away at the edges of our problem with meaningless "feel good" solutions. Recycling, buying "green" products, Take the Bus To Work Day, none of these will save our atmosphere, or slow down the disastrous effects of air pollution. Organic salad bars are not going to refreeze the north pole. Instead we must strike at the root of the problem. We must fearlessly rethink everything we know and consider "normal."
We must destroy all cars.
