It's bedtime on the farm, and Mother Hen is singing her chicks to sleep: ""Gather round, my children, Cuddle as I sing, Let yourselves grow sleepy, Safe beneath my wing..."" Mother Cow, too, begins to sing to her calf, and Horse, Pig, Sheep, and Goose all join in with their verses. To the farmer in his bed, it all sounds like so much clucking, mooing, neighing, and oinking...but to the animal babies, it's a beautiful lullaby.
