1 | Creativity Wins
Inspire up-and-coming artists to enter the Celebrating Art contest. Emerging painters, cartoonists, and other artists can enter original work for a chance to win over $5,000 in prizes. Ten winners in each division will be published.

2 | Think BIG
Does your class have a BIG idea to help your community? Submit your proposal to the BE BIG contest and Clifford the Big Red Dog may help you bring it to life with a $5,000 community grant.

3 | Lights, Camera, Action
Need funding for your drama club? Help young thespians create a mini-film revealing why “The Show Must Go On” at your school. Winners receive up to $10,000 in scripts and royalties. Deadline: June 30

4 | Pin It to Win It
Calling all eco-conscious crafters! Create a Pinterest board featuring much-loved “upcycled” craft projects and enter to win an Elmer’s Naturals prize pack and a $100 gift card. Winning boards should include your favorite projects from Elmer’s and TerraCycle. Deadline: June 28

5 | Adventures in Math
Draw math out of the classroom and into the real world with hands-on math and money activities from Scholastic and Regions. The interactive Road to Riches game teaches students key math (and life!) skills. Plus, all lesson plans are Common Core–ready.

6 | Take a Stand
The Bully Project, inspired by the award-winning film Bully, invites you to join educators across America to help end bullying. Free resources include excerpts from a film guide, tips on protecting special needs students, and strategies to inspire empathy and create change. (An educators’ tool kit is available for purchase.)

7 | Safety First
Your students are growing up in a digital world with technology right at their fingertips. Teach them about responsible online behavior with Growing Up Online, a new e-book from NBCUniversal. The interactive guide features live-action comic-book stories and videos designed to get kids thinking about cybersafety.

Michaels and Scholastic teamed up to provide everything you need to celebrate the power of art in your class. Find project-based lesson plans on creating story quilts, exploring the styles of Andy Warhol and Tim Burton, and more. Plus, look for fun project ideas and teacher offers at Michaels stores.

For a hands-on intro to molecular science, take your class on a journey to NanoSpace, a new virtual theme park. Future chemists can study up on the H2O Ferris Wheel or enjoy a round of “Who Wants to Be a Quindecillionaire?”

10 | Lunch Break
Introduce kids to Fizzy’s Lunch Lab, an original Web series educating young chefs on the value of nutrition and exercise. Videos follow monthly themes and are posted alongside kid-friendly recipes to try at home.


Grants

11 | Book Nook
Transport students to literary dreamlands with the help of the Lois Lenski Covey Foundation. The LLCF Library Grant provides schools with funds to purchase cherished children’s books. Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to libraries serving disadvantaged kids. Deadline: June 15

12 | Zoom Ahead
Lace up your sneakers and hit the track to fight childhood obesity. The Saucony Run for Good Foundation is offering funding to support kids’ running programs to grant winners. Winners will receive a $10,000 budget for the 2013–14 school year. Deadline: June 13

13 | Media Maven
The TEAMS Award celebrates positive partnerships between media specialists and teachers. Work together to improve learning and research skills, then share your collaboration for a chance to win $2,500, a subscription to Library Media Connection, and more. Deadline: June 30

14 | Jukebox Hero
Give students the gift of song with the Fender Music Foundation. Grants provide lightly used equipment to
programs encouraging music participation. While guitars are available year-round, applicants can check the catalog for bongos, keyboards, and more. Deadline: Rolling

15 | Academic Enrichment
The Gardener’s Supply Company has joined forces with the Green Education Foundation to nourish budding gardeners. Submit thriving gardening programs to vie for a $1,000 award. Deadline:  September 30
