Students create yarn snowballs that will never melt!

What You Do:

  1. Each student should hold up one hand and spread their fingers slightly apart. Help students keep their thumbs out of the way as they wrap one long piece of yarn around their fingers approximately 40 times.
  2. Students then carefully slide their hands out of the roll and help them tie a small piece of yarn horizontally around the center of the roll so that there are loops on each side (creating a butterfly look).
  3. Children can now cut open all of the loop holes on each side.
  4. Have students spread the yarn apart and fluff to create an even snowball look all around!
