Q&A with Chris d'Lacey, the author of The Last Dragon Chronicles series.

If one of your books were made into a movie, which book would you choose? Who would you want to play each character?

Well, the dragon books are really one long story chopped up into four at the moment. So all of them!

Ewan McGregor as David Rain. Emma Thompson as Elizabeth Pennykettle. Some new young starlet as Lucy Pennykettle. Helen Mirren as Gwilanna (and boy, would she be scary!). Eliza Patricia Dushku as Zanna. Kiefer Sutherland as Dr Bergstrom. Anthony Hopkins as Mr Bacon. Bonnington and the dragons as themselves. And if we can fit Gwyneth Paltrow in somewhere, then that would be fab. I’ll write her a part in Dark Fire if need be…
