In the story Miyax remembers that fear can cripple a person so that he or she cannot think or act. She recalls her father's advice: Change your ways when fear seizes for it usually means you are doing something wrong. Discuss with students what Kapugen means. Ask: What strategies do you use to overcome fear? Then have students write about one of these topics:
