Crafts: Memory Mailbox

Get to know new students with fun craft projects for back-to-school.

Memory Mailbox

Each Friday, students write notes and drop them in the box. Open at year’s end for a back-to-school activity that comes full circle!

Things You'll Need
Copy-Paper Box and Craft Paper
Scissor or Box-Cutter
Paint
Glue
1 Pipe-Cleaner
Single Hole-Punch and 1 Brad

 

1 Cut a rectangle from the center of a copy-paper box, leaving one long side attached for the mail slot.

2 Paint the box and glue panels of paper onto the sides.

3 Create a handle by threading a pipe cleaner through two small holes, then construct a bright flag out of craft paper and fasten with a brad.
