Booktalk for Oggie Cooder

Nothing was more fun for Oggie than charving.

Oggie Cooder was unique, unusual, one of a kind.  His parents owned a thrift store, and the only clothes they bought were underwear and socks.  Everything else came from the store.  Oggie loved plaids and stripes, especially together.  But he didn't pay a lot of attention to what he wore.  He just grabbed a shirt and a pair of pants, put on his sneakers with the laces he had crocheted himself, and he was good to go.

The only other thing he needed was his cheese.  Two slices of processed American cheese went into his back pocket.  You see, Oggie was a cheese charver.  Using just his teeth, he could make things out of cheese, things like every one of the entire fifty states.  Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri are easy, but Texas is hard.  Charving was relaxing and fun for Oggie-his favorite hobby.  He never imagined he'd be famous for it, go to Hollywood, and appear on the Hidden Talents TV show.

But that was before his neighbor, Donnica Perfecto, got hold of him.  Donnica wanted to be famous and go to Hollywood, and if she didn't have any hidden talents to get her there, she'd take advantage of Oggie's charving talent.  Every famous person needs a manager, and Donnica was going to be Oggie's.  One way or another, she was going to get both of them to Hollywood, no matter what.

Will she be successful in making Oggie's charving famous?  Take a look, and take a bite!
