The race heats up and is more dangerous than ever as the hunt for clues continues. Book Six of The 39 Clues series, In Too Deep by Jude Watson, is now in libraries and book stores. This historic and exciting adventure series is entering its second half and heading for a final solution in Book 10, expected to be released in September 2010.
The story has now moved to Australia where the search for clues becomes more than a game—it's a matter of life and death. Siblings Amy and Dan Cahill experience more life-threatening situations than ever before and this time, someone important dies.
As the search for clues continues, Amy and Dan arrive in Sydney, Australia. The danger begins the minute they run into Isabel Kabra, the mother of the two rich kids, Natalie and Ian. Isabel doesn't become their only enemy; the Holts, Alistair Oh, Irina Spasky, and Ian and Natalie are all waiting for the perfect chance to outwit the Cahill kids.
Amy and Dan reunite with their cousin, Uncle Shep. They convince him to help them follow in their parent's footsteps in the Land Down Under. When Shep takes them to the beach to surf, they run into a surprising enemy, the Holt family. Eisenhower tries to drown Dan, who has to struggle for breath and his life.
The more places they visit in Australia, the more danger Dan and Amy face. They encounter deadly spiders and the most poisonous snake in the world, the Taipan. They are almost sent back to Boston and to Social Services by Irina Spasky, who pretends to be a friend, but really just wants Amy and Dan out of the hunt for clues.
In Too Deep is hard to put down once you get started. It has all the traits a good book should have: humor, mystery, and adventure. This one could be the best of all of the The 39 Clues books so far!
