Whatever the Weather: A Listen and Read Book, Level B

Early readers will discover how people around the world find ways to live in a variety of climates through this brief, read-along story.

 

  • Grades: 1–2

“Whatever the Weather” (grade 2) shows students how people find ways to live with the weather in a range of climates, from the desert to the rainforest to the tropics. The reading activity includes text, images, and audio, so students can read along while listening to a narrator.

At the end of the story, a Sound It Out section lets students listen to these vocabulary words a second time: "umbrella," "desert," "rain," and "safe."
