What Happens in a Tide Pool? A Listen and Read Book, Level B

In “What Happens in a Tide Pool” (grade 2) – a brief Listen and Read nonfiction story – students learn how the ocean creates tide pools. They also get a glimpse of the unusual animals that live in them, from anemones to hermit crabs to camouflaged fish. This reading activity includes text, images, and audio, so students can read along while listening to a narrator.
At the end of the story, a Sound It Out section lets students listen to these vocabulary words a second time: "anemones," "camouflage," "tentacles," and "shallow."
