Part of Scholastic’s “The First Thanksgiving” project, the “Voyage on the Mayflower” interactive activities offer students the unique opportunity to “tour” the Mayflower and follow its perilous journey across the Atlantic from Great Britain to America.

  •  Journey on the Mayflower: An interactive map illustrates the Mayflower’s intended route to Virginia, as well as the actual route to Plimouth. Students can click on points of interest to read details about how the ship and its inhabitants fared.
  • Tour the Ship: This interactive illustration gives students a close look at the merchant vessel that brought 102 Pilgrims to America. Students can click around the ship to read details about the rigging, steerage, the great cabin, and more.

Learning Objective

While participating in the “Voyage on the Mayflower” activities, students will use technology tools to access, explore, and synthesize information about the Mayflower.
