Segmentation: An Interactive Phonics Readers Activity

In this online phonics activity, students listen to how a word sounds, then must choose another word that shares the same middle sound.

In Scholastic’s “Oral Segmentation” online phonics activity, young students listen to narrator read the word “house.” Then students must click and drag a word that shares the same middle sound. They have three options:

  • hose
  • shoot
