Scholastic’s “Scholastic News Hangman” activity lets students play a fun interactive version of the classic game of Hangman, testing their vocabulary in the following genres: 

• Scholastic News Hangman, featuring words like “publication,” “editor,” and “report.”
• Movies, TV, Music Hangman, including words and phrases such as “studio,” “science fiction,” and “memorize.”
• Sports Hangman, including words like “basketball,” “touchdown,” and “foul.”

Each category offers 10 words. Students have to decipher the missing word by guessing letters — before the hangman figure is completed!
