Saving and Investing: A Math Hunt Activity
You’ve earned some money — now what to do with it? Students learn basic financial tips while solving these math-related problems.
- Grades: 3–5, 6–8
In “Saving and Investing” (grades 5–8), an online learning activity from Scholastic’s Math Hunt series, students learn about earning interest, savings bonds, and more, while researching the answers to these real-world math problems.
In addition to challenging students’ reading comprehension skills, “Saving and Investing” tests their addition and subtraction “math hunting” skills:
