Native American Inventions: A Listen and Read Book, Level B
Through photos, texts, and audio, early readers will discover a few entertaining and delicious items that were invented by Native Americans.
- Grades: 1–2
In “Native American Inventions,” a Listen & Read nonfiction story for early readers, students learn how they made maple syrup, created a sport that’s now in the Olympics, and more. The reading activity includes text, images, and audio, so students can read along while listening to a narrator.
At the end of the story, a Sound It Out section lets students listen to these vocabulary words a second time: syrup, hammocks, lacrosse, and kayaks.
