Meet the Navajo: A Listen and Read Book, Level B
Students see how the Navajo people keep their traditions alive with this story that includes photos, text, and audio.
- Grades: 1–2
In “Meet the Navajo,” a brief Listen and Read nonfiction story for early readers, students learn about the culture of the Navajo people. Young readers get a glimpse of what they wear, a traditional Navajo home, and common arts and crafts. The reading activity includes text, images, and audio, so students can read along while listening to a narrator.
At the end of the story, a Sound It Out section lets students listen to these vocabulary words a second time: Navajo, sunrise, patterns, and pottery.
