Managing Money: A Math Hunt Activity
How is money exchanged in the U.S. and beyond? Students learn the basics while solving these real-world, money-related problems.
- Grades: 3–5, 6–8
In “Managing Money” (grades 5–8), an online learning activity from Scholastic’s Math Hunt series, students build their financial know-how while researching the answers to five math- and money- related questions about the U.S. money supply, bankruptcy, euros, and more.
In addition to challenging students’ reading comprehension skills, “Managing Money” tests their addition and subtraction “math hunting” skills:
