Early learners read, and listen to, Scholastic’s audio article, “Look Into a Tide Pool” (grade 1) to learn what tide pools are and what kinds of animals live in them. Through text, audio, and images, students discover the world of anemones, hermit crabs, and a host of other animals.

 

At the end of the story, a Sound It Out section lets students listen to these vocabulary words a second time: anemones, shell, tentacles, and hermit.
