Why do we light a menorah? Why do Jewish children often get eight gifts? How do you play dreidel? Students (grades 2–8) get answers to these questions and more by exploring an interactive Hanukkah scrapbook in Hanukkah History and Traditions, one of several activities covered in Scholastic’s "Celebrate Winter Holidays."

With photos, articles, and online activities, students learn the history and traditions of this Jewish holiday. Plus, they can view postcards to see how kids around the globe celebrate it.
