Endangered Animals: A Math Hunt Activity
Grizzlies, rhinos, cougars, oh my! Students meet these incredible endangered animals while solving math word problems about them.
- Grades: 3–5, 6–8
In “Endangered Animals” (grades 5–8), an online learning activity from Scholastic’s Math Hunt series, students meet some amazing animals in danger of become extinct. Students hunt down information on them to solve five math-related questions.
In addition to challenging students’ reading comprehension skills, “Endangered Animals” tests these “math hunting” skills:
- Addition/Subtraction
- Decimals & Percentages
- Multiplication/Division
- Ratio & Proportion
