Students can “Build a Caterpillar” (grades K–4) with this fun, interactive learning activity.

Students will have to consider each caterpillar’s environment and then choose the colors, spines, and extras that will help their caterpillar protect himself and survive. Clues offer help along the way. When they’re finished, students can print out their creations.

Learning Objectives

While creating their caterpillars, students gain an understanding of how living things interact with or cause changes to their environment.
