Science Is Everywhere Sweepstakes

Thank you for entering. The May 12th deadline for entries has passed. Winners will be notified on or around May 19, 2008.

Scholastic is excited to be partnering with The World Science Festival to help educate children around the country about the importance of science and math. The World Science Festival, launching in New York City from May 28 – June 1, 2008 is the first of its kind, bringing together pioneering thinkers, some of our top scientists (including over a dozen Nobel Laureates), science popularizers, artists and performers whose work is inspired by the sciences for a five day festival that will shine a spotlight on the role science is playing in our world.

Over 35 events will help attendees – from students to adults, professionals to novices, science enthusiasts to the merely curious – to experience science as never before, making the esoteric understandable and the familiar fascinating.

To help bring the excitement of science into your classroom, Scholastic has developed two cool, age-appropriate “Science is Everywhere” Crossword Puzzles for you to complete with your students as a whole group activity. Complete the puzzle and enter your class in the “Science is Everywhere” Sweepstakes for a chance to win an iMac Desktop Computer for your classroom.
