Robert Munsch talks about how he developed a love of reading:

“When I was a kid I remember reading LOTS of books because my parents read to me and my four little brothers every night. Mostly I remember that it was OUR TIME, and that was what was important about it. I don’t remember choosing books. My parents did that. My father also told us long continuing stories that went on for almost ever. I copied his way of telling when I later made up my own stories.”

Robert Munsch is the bestselling author of more than 50 picture books for young readers, including the classic Love You Forever. He serves as ABC Life Literacy Canada’s Family Literacy Day Honorary Chairperson and was recently inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame. He lives in Guelph, Ontario. His website is www.robertmunsch.com.
