Jeff Kinney is an online game developer and designer, a #1 New York Times bestselling author for Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (2007-2011). Gaining quick popularity, he became executive producer for the film adaptations, and attained the number one position on important charts with a worldwide sale of 42 million copies up till 2010. Kinney was also named one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World.” In 2009, he won the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Children’s Book Award.
Born on February 19, 1971, Jeff grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland, where he attended the Bishop McNamara High School. As a kid fond of reading, Jeff delightfully read books of authors such as Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary, Piers Anthony, and J.R.R. Tolkien. He went on to study at the University of Maryland at College Park during the early 90s. Today Jeff lives in southern Massachusetts with his wife and their two sons.
