Gordon Korman is the author of The 39 Clues Book 2: One False Note which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. He is also the author of The 39 Clues Book 8: The Emperor’s Code which was a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller. Gordon kicked off The 39 Clues: Cahills vs. Vespers, the new story arc of the immensely popular series, with the release of Book 1: The Medusa Plot in August 2011. Gordon has written more than sixty books for children and young adults, including Swindle, Zoobreak, Framed and Son of the Mob, as well as the On the Run series and the Island, Everest, Dive, Titanic and Kidnapped trilogies. In January 2012, Showoff, the latest installment of the wildly popular and acclaimed Griffin Bing series was published. Gordon’s writing career began at the age of twelve when his seventh grade English assignment became his first novel, which was then published while he was a freshman in high school. Now, decades later, he is a full-time writer, with more than 15 million copies of his novels in print. Each year, he travels extensively, visiting schools and libraries, bringing his trademark humor and adventure style to readers everywhere. A native of Ontario, Canada, Korman now lives with his family in Long Island, New York.
