Is Your Child Getting Too Much Homework?

What is the right amount of homework for a 6- or 7-year-old? Many educational organizations advocate for the “10-minute rule.” That is, students should have about 10 minutes of homework per grade: 10 minutes per day for first graders and 20 minutes for second graders.  If you find your kids are regularly exceeding that guideline, speak with the teacher.
