Your child most likely has a favorite book. Help him practice his writing and communication skills by writing a letter to one of his favorite authors. Help your child plan what he wants to say. Then, show him what a letter looks like, and discuss generic openings and closings. Have him help you address the envelope, and then drop it in the mail. Maybe he will even be lucky enough to get a response!
