Writing Practice

Give your child a pad and pencil or crayon and help him make lists, even if they are just lists of random letters or numbers. The idea is to help him practice the skill of writing on paper (how to hold the writing implement, how the paper is placed on a surface in front of him, etc.), and gain hand and finger strength. Plus, he’ll have fun making his list as you make your own.
