Write a Story With Different Types of Sentences

Talk with your child about different types of sentences – from statements, to questions, and exclamations. Write the word for each type on 12 separate index cards, so that there will be four of each. Then, pick a card and ask him to write a story where the first sentence is the type represented on his index card. Pick another card and have him use it to write the next sentence.
