When Opposites Attract
When you’re in the car or at the store, take time for the Opposites Game. Point to an object that’s very tall, and ask your child to find one that’s the opposite. While you’re reading together, talk about how one of the characters feels, and then ask her to describe the opposite feeling. Try to broaden her vocabulary by using words she might not know (such as “miniscule” instead of “small”).
