What Can Babies Learn Watching a Goldfish Swim? A Lot!

In a sturdy fishbowl, put a few colorful fish. Watching them swim is mesmerizing for the baby, and a great way for you to label things like colors (look at the orange fish!) and activity (see how he swims to the food?). For older babies, you can supervise feeding the fish, to help your child begin to understand how to nurture other beings.
