Water Color Play

Fill a few cups about halfway with water, and add a drop of food color or watercolor paint to teach. Put the cups in a shallow tray or pan to contain them. Provide empty cups and ask your child to pour quantities of colored water together, then see how they mix. You can also have her use a spoon to dip and move smaller amounts of water from cup to cup.
