Watch a Caterpillar Turn Into a Butterfly

Get outside and find a nice, fat caterpillar to collect. Put it in a jar, and add a stick and a bunch of leaves. Keep up the supply of fresh leaves. Once the caterpillar has wrapped itself into its cocoon, add a moistened cotton ball to the jar (it needs water in order to hatch). Help children release the butterfly or moth once it has hatched.
