Vocal Changes

At this stage, your child can identify subtle vocal changes you and other adults make when you are reading versus when you’re talking. For example, she knows when you’re reading the printed words based on your tone and inflection (versus when you’re just talking about the book in between reading). This is important because understanding tone and inflection is a big part of language proficiency.
