Use Three Separate Bins to Sort and Organize Belongings

Grab three laundry baskets or use garbage bags if you need to. Label them "donate," "put away," and "throw away." Go through the items you're sorting and put them in the appropriate basket. When the baskets are full, put the garbage in the trash bin, put the donated items in a labeled box, and have your child put the remaining items away.
