Use the Five Senses For Fabulous Writing

Incredible writing uses the five senses so the reader can truly experience the moment. To do this, have your child swap plain words with sensory language. For example, "Jack, my neighbor, yelled at his dog." would be better written as: "Jack, my neighbor in the brown bathrobe, screamed at his poodle for tearing into the rotting garbage."
