Use Dolls to Teach Social Skills

A teddy-bear tea party or a cohort of action figures (ones that are appropriate for children 2 and under) are great ways to teach social skills. Have the bears say “please” and “thank you” for their pretend tea and cookies, for example. Or work out ways Spidey and Batman can take turns flying down the stairs. The more your child engages in pretend-play, the more opportunities you have to show ways to share and get along.
