Use the Coin Combination Game to Teach Money Skills

Before your child can learn to make change, he must understand different coin combinations. Make it a game by asking questions such as, "I need to give someone 35¢ in change. What coin combinations can I use?" When your child grasps the concept, let him come up with questions for you. Play the game on the go, too, when waiting in line at the store.
